The Dolomites look like a stage set and are completely real. Morning light pulls out layers of limestone that look grey by day and turn pink at dusk. Sharp towers, wide passes, soft meadows, and the rock starts right above them.
Every bend opens another valley, another wall with climbing routes and via ferratas. Scree, smooth slabs, huts with food and noise, then silence again. Evenings and early mornings are the best, when fog lifts from the valleys and the peaks stick out like islands. A landscape that makes you slow down and look longer.
